Jonathan Artuo - Cinematographer
Jonathan has had a long-term goal of becoming a writer/director in the film industry. He applies his talents and has been making short films for the better portion of the past decade.
He is currently studying Film and Marketing at American University . We have worked together in film production classes, and our filmmaking sensibilities, personalities, and drive for success make us a perfect production team.
His award-winning visual eye, experience, and technical ability qualify him for the position. He aspires to write and direct his own features in the future, and working on this film is a great vehicle to both learn the craft and create a long-term filmmaking partnership.

 

Richey Rynkowski - Composer

Richey studied Electronic Music & Composition and Sound & Image at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK . It was here that Richey found his passion for film music. To pursue his new goal, he began performing in every ensemble around town. Additionally, he worked as a music licensor, sound assistant, sound mixer, in-house composer, audio editor, transcriber, composer assistant, and orchestration assistant to accumulate all the know-how to support his natural talent. His wide music tastes and influences are all over the map, and he's more-than excited to dive head first into this project as our full-time composer.

Leeanna Rubin - Casting Director

Leeanna Rubin is a student at American University where she is studying Theater and Musical Theater. At American she has worked on countless productions in both the performance and technical aspects (casting, sound, design, stage management, directing, etc.). Additionally, she has studied theater at Circle in the Square Theater School and spent a semester at the Eugene O'Neill National Theater Institute. As a self-described marriage partner to the theater, she is ferociously tackling the casting of this film.

 

Elissa Cain - Production Designer
Elissa has always had a knack for the abstract, from colors and shapes to ideas and words. She enjoys taking seemingly unrelated and vague concepts and giving them life in an exciting, cohesive, and original way. Her career path is best described as "various". She has done everything from fashion merchandising to teaching web and graphic design, as well as event planning and marketing. Elissa has always had an interest in the arts, including writing, photography, music and film and believes that the only life worth living is a creative, passionate one.

 

Abbott Jones - Legal
Abbott is a member of the State Bar of California and is currently clerking for the Honorable Karon Bowdre, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama. Abbott received her Juris Doctor from Tulane, where she served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. She also served as a student lawyer with the Entertainment Law Legal Assistance pro bono program.
In 2008, she was a runner-up in the Grammy Foundation Entertainment Law Initiative writing competition. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, she received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in philosophy from Birmingham-Southern College. Abbott is proud to be working on this project pro bono.

 

DJ Wright - Sound
DJ is a handy-man work horse. He has worked at a movie theater for the past five years. He loves film and jumped at the opportunity to escape the theater and pursue his passion. His work ethic, mechanical skills, and dedication to learning make him an invaluable asset to the film.
He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

 

Joseph De Sciose - Photographer
Joseph De Sciose is an award-winning photographer whose images have been extensively featured in books, magazines and other print media. He has worked over 27 years in photography and graphic design. His most recent position was Senior Staff Photographer for Southern Living Magazine.
IHis work has also been featured in Southern Living Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, numerous Condé Nast, Hearst and Meredith magazines and books, and in print media for the New York Botanical Garden and The Brooklyn Botanic Garden. .

 

Pauléka Cooper - Line Producer

Pauléka has always had a passion for film since she was a child and aspires to become a producer or screenwriter in the film industry. She graduated from Full Sail University June 2009 with a Master of Science degree in Entertainment Business. She also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She enjoys the business side of the industry and will be working fiercely on logistics and production.

 

 

Will Braden - Artist
Will is an extremely gifted artist who has filled dozens of notebooks, thousands of hours, and many years with beautiful sketches. He has taken those talents and applied them practically as he works towards an Industrial Design degree at Auburn University in Alabama .
He offers his skillful hands as a multi-functional artist on the film. He beautifully renders ideas into singular works of art and visual tools for communication among people involved.

 

Angel Vuong - Costume Designer
Angel’s love for fashion and design began in elementary school, when her mother first taught her to sew. Her inspiration stems from street style, films, and fashion blogs. She  won an award in theatre costume design and has been featured in the Style section of The Birmingham News. She currently runs a fashion blog (below), does alterations, and plans to start an independent line of clothing. Angel plans to continue her art/fashion education through Birmingham-Southern College and further education.

Birmingham Glam - Makeup/Hair

Birmingham Glam Beauté Agency is comprised of the some of the best Hair & Makeup Artists in Alabama.  Their talented, experienced artists are available for weddings, proms, print advertising and editorial, TV commercials, music videos, feature films, fashion shows, and special events.  Heading the company is Jessica McGettigan, a respected Professional Make-up Artist with over a decade of experience in the industry.

 

Kyle Neeley - Production Assistant

Kyle has always been a creative leader in writing, designing, and film. His determination and drive are present in his day-to-day life, and he hopes it leads him to attend the UCLA Film School. He is currently attending Oak Mountain High School but has pursued this project with the passion of a working professional.

 

Christie Paquay - Casting Associate
Christie is a passionate and proficient writer. Her literary background and enthusiasm for movies have lead to her position on the project. She is writing engaging letters to recruit notable acting talent to the project.

 

Mike S. - Safety Consultant

Mike is a certified Emergency Medical Technician working towards his Paramedic license. He spends his time working long shifts and enjoying films. He has pursued acting but his interests lie in all aspects of tilm. He will be working to supervise safety in some of the more dangerous scenes in our film.

 

Curt Pennington - Music Supervisor & Editing Consultant

Curt's love for film-watching and film-making drove him to achieve a film degree from the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan. He aspires to a screenwriting career and has already won awards in screenwriting, directing, cinematography, and a “Best Picture” title at a film festival in San Francisco .

While working to secure music licenses and contributing editing feedback to this project, he is writing and shooting two short films targeted at the festival circuit.

Shea Cadrin - Design

Shea is a rising senior and graphic design major at American University. Her passion lies in seeking the art and beauty in day-to-day objects and happenings. She is working on branding fictional companies in the film with original logos and real-life sign design.

Michael Guntherberg - Engineer
Michael began working on films at age 15. Over the past decade, he has gained experience in media ranging from 3D, Flash, audio, web freelance, to systems engineer. He currently works at his Alma Mater, Auburn University, as an IT Specialist/Jack of all Trades. Coming to this project, he brings his problem solving and hands-on skills to collaborate in making our camera movement devices.

 

Jeff Nixon - Production Assistant

Jeff is an experienced event planner and jack of all trades. He has worked with people in all walks of life and in all aspects of the entertainment industry. His life-long love of film drew him to this project. Through applying his people, organizational, and practical skills, he will be arranging and coordinating people and businesses around the South to pull everyone together.

 

 

DJ Davis - Book Design
DJ is a student at the Florida International University for social work. Outside of work, he spends his time reading, meditating, and dabbling in the arts - music, graphic design, etc. His ultimate goal is becoming a counselor and basketball coach. He lends his dabbling tendencies to our movie in designing professional-looking prop books.

 

Sarah-Beth Alfree - Production Assistant
Sarah-Beth has over seven years experience in makeup artistry. Her work has included various stage shows, television, and print, including promotions for the Alabama Ballet.  One of her biggest passions in life is helping others grow and feel better about themselves through her talent in makeup. She holds a B.A. in Finance from the University of Montevallo and is currently working on her M.B.A. from Jacksonville State University .

 

 

Fumio Yasue - Music Supervisor

Fumio is a DJ, track-maker, and music supervisor from Japan. He graduated from California State University Northridge as a Music Industry Studies Major. Currently, he is DJing in Los Angeles county. His ultimate goal is to be a professional music supervisor.

James Markham - Additional Music

James Markham has been writing and recording music for over 19 years. He studied music theory & and composition at Eastern New Mexico University as well vocal performance and electronic music at Amarillo College. He was a professional rock music performer for 8 years and has recently finished performing in his second opera.

He writes constantly with his constant collaborator Chris Arnn, who provides guitar work, vocals, and input on James’ music. James has always loved screen music and remembers movies by the music. He will provide additional music to supplement both Richey’s score and songs in the film.

Jinae Kaing - Fundraising
Jinae is a well-rounded student living in California. Her ultimate goal of becoming a financial advisor has driven her to help raise funding for our film. She has accelerated in her studies, but also likes running and playing a multitude of instruments in her free time. She is attending California State University in the Fall of 2009, majoring in Finance and Math.

 

April Washko - Communication
April is an aspiring actress based out of California. She has acted in numerous projects and ambitiously pursues new roles every day. Her passion lies wholly in film, and she can afford to pay the bills through her license as a make up and hair artist while awaiting a well-deserved break. Her enthusiastic, proactive nature, and efficiency makes her a perfect fit to help coordinate the film through contacting individuals and companies across the country to tie it all together.

 

Jackie Glenn - Fundraising

Jackie spends her days working with science (anatomy and neurobiology) to pay the bills, but her heart has always drawn her towards acting, and she is pursuing it completely. She has been the spokesperson of volunteer programs and sports teams and even delves into photography. She brings her well-rounded abilities to the project to help raise money for the film.

 

DaVaughn Lucas - Communication

DaVaughn is an actor and improviser from Michigan. He has over eight years of total acting experience through working in live theatre, film and improv. He is currently attending the University of Phoenix studying for his Bachelor's in Business Management and Marketing. When he is not studying or acting, he works as an auto show product presenter for different automotive companies.

Brion Barron - Artistic Painter

Brion is a art school graduate at an accredited university. With an artistic mind, she has spent 19 years of her life as a dancer and four years working most positions at a movie theater. She loves art history and exotic traveling and eventually wants to work in theatrical marketing and open a dance studio/art gallery. She is working on plot-related paintings for the movie.

 

Robert Hill - Production Assistant

Robert’s passion for the arts stems from his accomplished father, artist Louis Hill. Robert ambitiously pursues film production and stand up comedy in his spare time. After attending Alabama University in ’09-’10, he hopes to transfer a more reputable film school at UCLA or FSU. Aside from entertaining the world, he is committed to curing world hunger, and every disease in the universe.

 

Kelley Bostwick - Costumes
Kelley is a multi-talented, energetic, and creative individual. She has always had an eye for fashion and has been encouraged to seriously pursue it from everyone around her. She's taking their advice and following her passion to work on this film. She is scouring thrift stores and friends' basements to find the most original and character-defining clothes around and obtaining the clothes with a $0 budget.

 

Hannah Ngae - Casting Assistant
Hannah is an aspiring entertainer from Kenya , Africa . She currently lives and works in Birmingham, Alabama and has been pursuing her entertainment career since age 10 when she started her theatre work.
She has written two films and is working on creating her first. Her interests in the field range from acting to radio. She will be in charge of spreading the word about casting through various online outlets and other creative avenues.

 

Korey Nadolny - Designer

Korey is an aspiring actor currently working on making full-length independent films. He plans to study acting at SUNY (Purchase College) then move to New York to pursue his career. He is working on developing his resume through a slue of pursuits from learning Mandarin to studying Chinese. He is working on designs for our film.

 

James Lunsford - Sound Consultant
James is an ambitious audiophile. At age 23 he already runs an audio production company based in Nashville , Tennessee . His extensive knowledge and connections in the sound world make him perfect as a sound consultant. He is guiding the team in pre-production sound choices, equipment purchase decisions, and other professional audio matters.

Tony Romm - Social Media Consultant
Tony is a recent graduate from American University 's journalism department. Throughout college, he has covered domestic politics for nine print and web publications, including The Washington Post, Slate, Bright Hall, The World Politics Review and The American Observer.
As a web-obsessed and highly connected individual, he will apply his internet skills as a social media consultant – spreading the word about the project to gain support through modern mediums.

Jay Cunningham - Production Assistant

Jay strives to succeed in acting and producing but also delves into modeling. He intends to enroll in the Art Institute of Atlanta as a film and video production major. After school, he wants to start a video production and TV broadcasting company. He has a strong work ethic and doesn’t believe in “handouts” as a means to succeed.

 

Ward Neely - Locations & PA

Ward is an aspiring actor who is proactively taking steps to face the competition. The love of film has driven him to write two feature length scripts, a bio-pic, and a handful of shorts. He has spent most of his life in Alabama, but has also spent a lot of time in Los Angeles working as a traveling salesman to pay the bills and film the bio-pic. Ward will be lending a generous helping hand to several aspects of production.
